Meet Ren Blackcat. Ren has been with me for over 10 years now and is very special to me.
I first met Ren at the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter when I went looking for my lost
kitty Sylvia. As I was searching the cages, this tiny black paw reached out from a cage and
smacked me on the arm. I looked and there I saw the most ugly and pathetic kitten I had
ever seen! It was love at first sight and I just had to take him home.
After visiting the shelter and adopting Ren, I was inspired to become a volunteer and work with the cats. I have been a volunteer for many years and find it very rewarding.
Ren and I along with 7 other felines are now living here in beautiful Colorado. I am volunteering at the Boulder Valley Humane Society. I currently have 2 foster kittens in my care. One nice thing about Ren, he doesn't seem to mind too much when I bring home these temporary interlopers. It's like he knows that I am just trying to help them get a better start in life. You can learn more about the many kitties that I foster and rescue by visiting my Feral Cat Page.
